Mission

We are promoting the resurgence of interest in Sugar farming, Refining and commercialization in Africa among the Government and the private sector.  In this framework the Governments facilitate the establishment of white-settler large-scale plantations of Sugar by 80 000ha per Country.

It will be the expansion of global agricultural value chains is witnessed in the renewed academic and policy interest in contract farming. Out grower schemes and other forms of contract production, as possible institutional and organizational innovations to foster links between agribusiness and farmers and to integrate them in global commodity agricultural value chains and contract farming schemes has the potential of increasing incomes and reducing poverty.

Vision

We have initiated large-scale Sugar Production Program of 1.2 million MT of Sugar ICUMSA 45/SUKARO 223 in Ghana Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

We have initiated the Carbon Sequestration Methods (CSM) for improving green harvest and pest control as well as increasing the water and nutrient use efficiencies. Recent research indicated that the major contributors of the released CO2 from sugarcane crops were residue burning (44%), the utilization of synthetic fertilizers (20%), and fossil fuel combustion (18%). Therefore, The CSM is crucial for climate change adaptation and sugarcane yield improvement. The CSM improves Carbon sequestration, soil tillage, irrigation, drainage, nutrient monitoring, and fertilizer applications to increase the Soil Organic Carbon and Reduce CO2 emission from Sugarcane Production.
